The application process
Our Kindergarten welcomes children from the age of three, depending on their maturity level and readiness for nursery life. Our Crèche group is open from the age of two.
Parents can apply for admission at any time of the year, but this does not mean immediate enrollment. New children are admitted continuously during the kindergarten year (from 1 September to 31 August). However, enrolment is dependent on capacity.
The final enrolment in our nursery/kindergarten for the next educational year ends on 20 May. The director decides on the final approval. The parents will be informed on the 25th May, at the latest.
As a first step, our registration form should be downloaded from our website and sent to our email address. You can either contact us by email or by phone to make an appointment and visit our chrèche. A visit usually takes about 2-3 hours, where both the parents and their child can see and experience our day at nursery. Any questions parents may have will be answered during the visit.

Mixed-age Groups
“Mixed-age groups provide a more natural and calming atmosphere for children.” – Tamás Vekerdy
One of the main features of the Montessori method is the practice of forming mixed-age groups. Different skills develop at different ages. The age difference provides several opportunities for deeper learning and for supporting skills and abilities in many ways. Younger children, for example, may have difficulty interpreting the teacher’s gestures while getting dressed. However, they can learn more easily by observing their older classmates. The same kind of imitative learning can also be observed at the painting table or during playtime.
For older children, it also offers advantages. It boosts their pride and motivation as they can experience an “I am older and I am responsible for the younger ones” mentality, which gives them a big boost just before school. They will also be more tolerant and helpful to others overall.
Two-teacher Model
What does it mean?
It refers to the simultaneous presence and work of two teachers in a group.
Why is this useful?
- Each child gets more attention
- Enables individual development
- Enables personalized talent management and differentiation for the children
- The integration of early foreign language in our English Talent Workshop
Our children get more attention and we can focus more intensively on a specific area of development.
Theatrical Performances
Twice a year we organize a theatrical performance with the children. We choose one of our themes from the cosmics education field every year. We use child-centered activities like dance, music, rhymes, tales, and drama pedagogy.
The performances help:
- Develop the children’s personalities
- Express their feelings and thoughts
- Nurture their imagination, creativity and ability to embody the character of a story
- Encourage collaboration between peers
- Learn to move on stage, use props and wear costumes
- Develop their sense of rhythm
- Build their confidence to perform in front of others in both languages
- Improving their memory skills and expanding their vocabulary
In keeping with our traditions, the performances are always both in hungarian and in english. The program is open to all interested parties. The dates and locations are announced on our website at the beginning of December and June.
Preschool – OGRE
In our preschool – OGRE – we offer preschool education during the day in micro groups (max. 6-8 children) for children who have already reached the age of 5. We focus on all skill areas and develop them further using the Montessori method to prepare the children effectively and successfully for school.
One of our goals is to further develop the children’s active and passive vocabulary in English. In our sessions, we move as much as possible while giving instruction in the second language. We believe that it is particularly important to have fun while learning, and therefore having fun is the basis of our programme.
